Stage

Durban Poison is a pure landrace sativa from South Africa's port city, carried west decades ago and adopted by California like a citizen. Nothing was crossed into it. What you grow is what farmers around Durban were growing generations back — sweet anise and spice, and an effect like a double espresso that skips the jitters and goes straight to intent.

It is the catalog's espresso: morning clarity, projects begun, drawers finally organized, a suspicious amount of enthusiasm about all of it.

Outdoors is where it becomes itself — tall, fast-growing, famously resistant to weather and mold, built by generations of actual sunlight. Give it a real bed and real sky and it will give you a genuinely impressive plant, and a conversation piece over every fence it clears.

Wants: full sun and a horizon. Forgives: weather, pests, and ambition.
