The practical stuff
If yours isn't here, ask. We would rather answer twice than have a plant land somewhere it shouldn't.
- What if my plant arrives in bad shape?
- Send a photo within 24 hours of delivery and we ship a replacement on the next run, no return needed. Some yellowing and droop after three days in a box is normal and usually recovers within a week — send the photo either way and we will tell you which one you are looking at.
- Can you ship to my state?
- Rules on live plants vary by state and they move. Check the shipping page for the current list before you order, and reach out if your state is not on it.
- Do I need a license or registration to grow?
- In many states, yes — home growing has its own rules separate from buying. That requirement sits on your side of the transaction, so confirm your own state's rules before ordering.
- Baby or teen for a first-timer?
- Teen. It is past the stage where one missed watering ends the story, and the extra cost buys you a much wider margin for error. Come back for babies once you have a rhythm.
- Are the nutrients really included?
- Yes — three numbered sachets, pre-measured for one plant, plus spares. You supply a pot, water, and light. Nothing else to buy.
- How much light does it actually need?
- The sunniest spot you have. A south-facing window works, a patio works, a basic grow lamp works. The stage card shows what enough light looks like so you can tell at a glance.
- What if I go on vacation?
- Water deeply the day you leave and a healthy plant will forgive a week. Longer than that, ask a friend to pour one can of water — the sachet schedule can slide a few days without drama.
- Is there a written guide?
- Yes — the Nug Plug field guide is a short PDF covering light, water, feeding, and what a healthy plant actually looks like at each stage. It is linked at the top of this page and on every product page, and a printed card comes in the box.
- How many can I order at once?
- Up to twelve per box. Larger orders split across boxes and ship the same day, and wholesale starts at fifty plants — use the contact page for that.
